FINANCE MANAGER

JOB TITLE : FINANCE MANAGER
DEPARTMENT : FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
REPORT TO : DIRECTOR OF FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION

GENERAL MISSION
  • To assist the Director of Finance and oversee daily Finance operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES & MEANS
  • To supervise daily Finance operations
  • To Ensure the accuracy of all revenue generated by the hotel was received and properly recorded and that they are properly entered our Accounting system on a timely manner
  • To verify the daily revenue report generated by the Income Auditor and daily cash report generated by the General Cashier
  • To verify the credit card charges, charge vouchers and city ledger charges with regard to the adequacy of approval procedure, legibility of signatures and addresses
  • To verify the correctness of posting the following reports to the general ledger such as the daily night auditors ā€œDā€ report, the daily food and beverage revenue report and the daily general cashier report
  • To verify bank deposit receipts with the daily general cashier report
  • To verify the miscellaneous voucher and rebate voucher
  • To supervise on surprise count of all house funds
  • To supervise all General Cashier and Income Audit Transactions, Balance cash clearance account
  • To assist the Director of Finance to prepare Yearly Business Plan
  • To ensure all the revenues are entered correctly and balanced to the Front Office System
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To assist Director of Finance in acquiring and renewal the Hotel Operating Licenses and registration of point of sales machine with the Revenue Department
  • To control by recording, posting and balancing all advance deposits from guests
  • To assist Credit Manager to balance all accounts receivable ledgers and to prepare aging list
  • To assist Credit Manager in minimizing all outstanding credit balances
  • To follow up on the control of guest folio, restaurant and bar checks and on the tracing of missing documents
  • To perform surprise check on night shift for the work of the restaurant cashier, front office cashier and night
HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with Accounting Manager
  • Identify and develop leadership qualities among staff under supervision.
  • Plan and conduct department training.
  • Identify and develop leadership qualities among staff under supervision.
